The city of Regina (pop. approx. 190 093 in 2003) is located approximately halfway between Calgary and Winnipeg on the Trans Canada Highway #1. The nearest MFRC is located at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, about 70km west of Regina.
Regina is the capital of Saskatchewan and is home to many tourist attractions, including the Royal Saskatchewan Museum, the Saskatchewan Science Centre, the Conexus Arts Centre, and various festivals throughout the year. Located in the heart of the city is Wascana Centre: a 930 hectare park surrounding a 120 hectare lake.
